Lethal Black Out - Part 3

Hello Beautiful Beings!!!!

So the last part of the Lethal Black Out theme has gold and animal print details...Nothing screams chic more than gold on black. It was so sunny on the day of the shoot, I tried very hard not to squint my eyes, but alas...*hides*

I like the versatility of this outfit, one can wear it on different occasions including a date nigh or girl's night out. It is also suitable for a day to night transition, warm enough to counter the night's breeze and light enough for the day's heat. It can also be worn in fall or summer and spring as well.

Lethal Black Out - Part 2: Active Glam

Hello Beautiful Beings!!!!

In today's post my look has so much of an "on the go" feel to celebrate women in general. All women are active one way or another, some are mothers, others are Fionas (yes, like in Shameless) that big sister or cousin that has to run around and get things done for the little ones, or you can simply be that college student who works two jobs. All of these women's priority is to feel comfortable before all else, then perhaps glam up a little as long as it wont take time to look good.

So yes, active wear is no longer limited to yoga pants, tights, sweat pants or track suits. Nowadays one can look more lady like with a simple dress (midi length) and pair it with running shoes, and still look all well fly!!!
Given the little time one has when they have to be at all these places, do a million things etc. it's all well and okay to have minimal make-up on as well. Sincerely, all that matters most (according to my scripture-chapter 1, verse 1 is to smell good and wear lipstick); the rest is optional (but hey, that's just me).

Since I wore too much black, I ensured to have some color and sparkle with fuchsia pink details, not to look too dull or obscure (balance is key).

Lethal Black Out - Part 1

Hello Beautiful Beings!!!

For the past weeks some power station work was being done in SA, that resulted in some load shedding from time to time (i.e. you can picture complete darkness)...Well I was inspired by the black out and decided to do a whole "All Black"  theme for this week (weird?! that's somehow my middle name)....

For Part 1 of the Black Out I went for a casual glamed-up look.

Although we experienced some "black outs", it's unbearably hot so the light material  and the two slits on the side worked in my favor. I paired the outfit with some tinted blue sunglasses to add more life to the whole look.

Top: China Town (if you live in South Africa, there must be some Chinese retail clothing outlet somewhere, somehow..they have the most affordable  and trendy clothes..but of course the quality is not always up to standard and you need to be careful with the type of material the clothes are made out of).
Leather tights- Mr Price
Sandals- Mr Price
Bag- Frazers
Earrings: Woolworth
Sunglasses - Mr Price (they were on sale so I got them for R20..oh the joy of paying less than I should)
Bracelet: Gift
Rings: Lovisa
